Newels

Our expansive selection of newels offer styling that is classic, timeless and beautiful. Newels serve as the main structural support of the balustrade portion of the stair. Proper placement, coupled with proper installation techniques, is critical to a structurally sound and code compliant staircase. Newels should be placed at the top and bottom of every stair, at all directional changes, and at intervals of not more than 8’ on level balcony runs.
